26 more days till surgery AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Wow It is getting so close. I am starting to get a little nervous and excited. I can't wait to be a loser. Well I got my papers on Saterday and Boy do I have alot of appointments that I need to go to. The hard thing is keeping them all straight. well lets see On March 2, I have my preop tests that will take all day. then On the 16 of March I have this Teaching Class that I have to go to. That will take all day then on the 19th of March I have an appointment to go over my test results from my preop test. Then on the 23 of March I have My surgery I have to be at the hospital at 5:00am And i still have to go Shopping. so when I come home from the hospital I don't have to do anything. Thank god my mom is going to watch my three kids. I don't know what I would have done. so as you can see I have alot going on but I am very nervous and scared. I just wi**** was here all ready. I am sooooooo ready for this now my Question is how have you all been staying away from the sweets? I am have a hard time with that one and I need to stop it quick. I mean I have cut down on the sweets but I still have them and I know that I shouldn't. Please
Yea Donna!!! You go the same day as me!!! I absolutely know what you mean about appointments. I had my psych eval yesterday and I seem to have at least one appointment a wee****il surgery -- Next is pulmonary stuff on Monday (an all dayer).
Being nervous is soooo normal. We all are. What do ya mean, cut down on sweets **taking bite of cupcake and big swig of Dr. Pepper** ?? If you figure this one out let me know will ya.

Hi Donna,
Congrats on your date!! With so many appts your time will surely fly!!!
The nervousness and scared thing just means you're normal.. As for having trouble putting down the sweets.....
I bet most people on here knows that feeling... You have enough to worry about.. Enjoy a treat every now and then.. It will all be fine...
I have succeeded in eliminating the "mindless" grazing-type sweets. But I still let myself have a planned special dessert as a goodbye thing. I try to not do that 2 days in a row. At least that is reducing the sugar cravings. In other words, if you really want it, do it--just start breaking the mindless grazing habit. That is what got me into this mess. That is my approach...

Hey Donna,
Congrats on your surgery date! It's kind of cool that you have all your appointments to go to, it will really help the time fly by. For me the time has been passing by real slow. I've been giving myself things to do just to pass some time. Things like, cleaning out the closets, scrubbing the toilet, washing all the linens, even the clean ones, munching on York Peppermint patties like crazy, That one I need to stop! Sure Wish I had better things to do to keep myself busy. As for the sweet thing, I think its completely normal. All you can do is try to cut down and you have done well. So take care and don't worry. You are going to do just fine! And remember, we are all here for you!
