Wooooohooooo!!!!! 12 more days for surgery. The anxiety is really taking over me now. All I can think about the surgery day and what lies ahead. I think I still have not entered the "WORRIED" or "SCARED" zone. I kind of wi**** was tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone that is also on their way!!!!!! Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, I am so glad you posted this. I have been sitting here wanting to write something of a similar nature but haven't know exactly what to say. Doesn't make much sense, I know. I was just talking to my mom tonight and I told her that I felt out of sorts but couldn't explain why. I think I actually said that I was in a "funky" mood I guess I'm just feeling so many different ways right now. I am FOUR days away from starting a life that I have only dared to dream about!!!!!! I swear I am experiencing multiple personalities One minute I feel so excited and I am so ready and then I am doubting this huge change that is about to happen. I guess this is normal for everyone (I hope). I guess we can't help but feel ten thousand different ways. I think the thing that I am most bothered by is having to be laid up for a while. I don't think I'm going to like that very much. I am also scared about missing my best friend...FOOD!! What will I do when I can't eat when I'm sad or depressed or happy, etc. I am a compulsive eater. I know that having a surgery on my belly does not fix the problems in my head. I'm kind of worried about that. Oh I don't know.... I guess I'm worried about every little thing. One thing I can say is reading this message board helps so much. You guys really care about one another and that genuinely shines through in all of your posts. That is very special. Thanks for the laughs, Jill

I am feeling the same way! I guess we all have our up's and downs... it is such a comforting feeling knowing we all have somewhere to go to talk, vent whatever and share all the emotions we are going through, and actually have someone understand! God bless All the Marchers!

Guess we're all in the same boat here. I'm anxious for my life to begin too!! It'll be here before you know it. Then we'll start being postops. Wow!!! It's hard to believe that in just a week, we will have Marchers on the otherside. Whitney

When I went thru this I seen it as this... To an overweight person this is like better than the lottery.. Being big for so long all I have ever wanted and dreamed about is being thin and "normal" Of course looking forward to a life without all of these chronic health problems is a dream come true as well... Then they make you "prove" you need the surgery.. then "prove" you know what the surgery is and how hard you have to work for it.. A lot of us had to fist fight the insurance company for approval and then the HOOPS.... they make you jump thru hoops at every stage of this... So when you FINALLY get a date you're a MESS!!!! See?? It all seems normal when you look at this way or not Just remember.. It's time to throw down the pom poms and get into the game!!!!!
