No "Official" letter yet--should I worry??

I got my approval last Friday verbally over the phone from the insurance office...she checked my file very carefully and said "yes they approved it today--congratulations!" But I still have NOT gotten the offical letter nor has my surgeon's office....why would it take so long?? Should I be worrying? I am starting to get upset. I want to SEE it!

I hope you got the name of the person you talked to. Call them again and keep bugging them until you get something in writing. It sounds like you'll be OK, there just slow getting out the letter. Have your doctors office call them,too. Good Luck!!!

No I didn't get her name, but she was really nice and I know what area of the office she was in...but when they sent the denial letter the week before it was dated a Friday and came on Tuesday. Now this approval was done on a Friday too....I guess they aren't as quick with good news as they are with bad....I think deep down that I am ok, but I just want to get the dang thing. I will call them tomorrow and say I need something faxed for my doctor right away.

Sally, My advice would be to get her name and extension and then ask her for your authorization code... It's your info so if it's there she should have no problem giving it to you.. Then you'll have one less thing on your mind, AND one more duck in a row!!!!
