5 Questions for Wednesday
1. Where were you born? Do you still live there?
Los Angeles and Nope. I live in Oregon!
2. Are you married? Kids?
Married 10 years and have one son, 2.5 year old Mason.
3. Cats or Dogs? Fish or birds?
Nothing right now. We had to find a new home for our ****er Spaniel Hootie when she started nipping at Mason last year. It wasn't her fault, but you can't be 100% sure you can keep a toddler's hands off an old dog with lots of aches. It was very sad.
4. Do you prefer the ocean or the mountains?
The ocean. I love the mist, the fog, the smell, the cool moist coastal air, the ethereal beach, the music that plays as you drift far away in your mind while watching the waves. ::sigh:: I miss that.
5. If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?
Wow - hard question. I won't pick the obesity thing because that is going to be taken care of. I guess maybe it would be that my dad wasn't crazy as a loon and scarey to be around. And that maybe he would have been someone I could have counted on and been close to when I was growing up rather than fearing him and reaping sadness from his judgemental nature.
Dina --who hasn't seen or spoken her father in 10 years, and likely won't ever again
1. Where were you born? Do you still live there? In a little rural farming community in Wisconsin, live right next door to the house I grew up in. Not the one I was born in, but my folks moved off the farm when I was about 6.

4. Do you prefer the ocean or the mountains? Ocean for sure, love the sound and smell
5. If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? I would learn to be more patient, always had to have everything NOW. Maybe wouldn't have married the bum I married the first time around, at such a young age,I wasn't quite 18, right out of HS, but then I wouldn't have my 3 pride and joys so who knows.

TO BE A MORE ACTIVE MOTHER

(I cheated Mo, sorry -- I saw these at 4:30 am and didn't answer 'cause I didn't want to be first )
I was born a Georgia Peach in Valdosta, Ga -- don't live there now. I live in Oklahoma. I think my heart will always belong in the deep south. I am definately a Southern Belle. I love movies and books set in the pre Civil War days with all of the romance of the deep south. I guess I'm just a romantic.
I have been married for 10 -- almost 11 years (however, my husband and I have been together for 15 years -- he was 17 at the time -- yes, I'm a cradle robber) We have 3 children Cameron 15, Connor 10, and Natalie 3 tomorrow (we lost a little boy, we named Reece, in November -- I had a placental abruption -- the Friday before, my hubbie had his vasectomy -- it was a really hard blow).
I love Dogs, but I'm partial to piggies. We have a little weiner dog named Penny. We got her at a time when we were trying to get pregnant and I was told I couldn't without help and I put all my baby energy into this dog. She is soooo spoiled (she's supposed to be my sons' dog ) We also have a pig that my son shows in Livestock Shows for 4H -- gotta love her. She is the craziest thing I have ever seen!!!
Gosh, I don't know if I can choose on that one. I love the ocean for it's beauty and the awesome vastness of it and the tranquility of it. I have family that live in Florida and my favorite thing when we go there is not all the amusement parks (can't really get on the rides anyway) is the ocean. We usually stay at a condo on the beach for a few days. It is just wonderful sitting on the balcony watching the waves come in and go out. I also love the mountains. They are absoltely majestic and beautiful. It feels like you are soooo close to God up there (my husband have family that live in Colorado) I love both for many different reasons.
Lets see the one thing I would change - that's a hard one -- there are so many I think I wouldn't have allowed my oldest son to go live with my parents. This has caused a lot of heartache and tension in the family. It really dammaged my relationship with my mom and my sister's have a distorted view of who I am. I was manipulated and hurt, lies have been told and I was made out to be something that I'm not. There are other things, but I think that is the most important one.
Wow Mo, that was a hard one.
