Hello Marchers, ...
Hello Marchers,
I am having this life changing surgery on the 8th. I wanted to know if I could join your group? I am very excited but scared as well. I have never had any kind of surgery, stitches, broken bones, or anything... except a girl and a boy!! Are there any protein drinks you can buy in the health food stores that taste good without having to order by mail?
I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you. We all need eachother for support and prayers.
I can't wait to see the look on my husbands face when I have reached my goal. I know he loves me now (we married in April 2003) but I can hardly wait to give back to him a healthly, slimmer, more active, self confident wife!! I now am starting to see light at the end of this tunnel of fat!! I thank God for this surgery and for the new friends I'm about to meet!!
Hope to hear from you soon,
Amanda

Greetings Amanda!!! You're a Marcher now!!!! WELCOME!!!! You are a member from the 1st time you post... before that we can't see you
Protein Drinks can be found all over the place... such as Dept Stores, Drug Stores, Grocery Stores and like Vitamin/Health Stores..
As for the taste... watch on here for reviews from fellow Marchers and try as many as you can so you know what tastes good to you... Jus****ch the carb counts and make sure you're getting enough protein grams...
OK Never had surgery.. well you'll sleep right thru the whole thing seriously... not much you have to do or worry about.. just do as the hospital staff tells you... they know all kinds of neat things..
Plan on drinking LOADS of water and WALKING like crazy..
Keep your eye on the prize... You're almost there...
We joke and play a lot on here but please feel free to ask ANY question.. serious or not.. we always stop playing long enough to address the real stuff on here.. You will be expected to jump in and play as well!!!!
So if you have a question ASK IT and if you know an answer ANSWER IT
Hi Amanda,
Welcome to the Marchers to Newpouch!!!!
I have gotten Carb Solutions protein powder at Walmart that isn't too bad and I have tried the EAS powder also. I think everyone's tastes are different though, so what might be good to me, is yucky to someone else and vice versa, so you need to start trying them out now.
Keep posting.

Hey Amanda!!
Welcome to the Marchers!!!
You have jumped into the right place!!
I have tried samples of at least a dozen protein powders and drinks. So far I like only the ones you order online. The others just have too much of that ground cardboard tasted to me.
My personal favorites are Banana Scream Stack by Champion nutrition and the other is Carribean Cooler Nectar by Syntrax the best price I found was at sportsupplements.com. Most online sellers also will send out samples for a nominal fee. I haven't yet received my samples from unjury.com but I'm told they have one of the best tasting proteins.
Happy thoughts,

Welcome Amanda! Glad you decided to join in on the fun!
As for protein shakes, I like the EAS low carb shakes, but I've learned the Atkins ones are higher in protein. I myself prefer the new low-carb milks out there as they are higher in protein than the EAS shakes and they taste just like milk. There is chocolate, regular non fat, 1%, 2% and whole. Yummers. That and the Atkins cereals I'm hoping one day to be able to have after I heal up over time because they are great sources of protein and fiber and they taste yummy!
