this is a little overwhelming..............
i am going to have my surgery on march the 29th and even though it seems far away i am very nervous. i love my surgeon but i also lived the hospital it was to be performed at. 2 weeks ago i find out he has moved to another hospitalo and i am fearful that i wont have enough time to research the hospital. does any one know about beth israel hospital in nyc?
Hey Venus
No, I don't know anything about the hospital, but you certainly came to the right place with your anxiety and stress that this is causing you, people here will help you.
These people are the most wonderful, caring people you will ever find.
They are truly like family to me, and friendships have grown that will last a lifetime.

Yes hun, I agree with Betty you have dropped by the right place! I to have my surgery coming up March 22th.. And it is normal to have the feelings you are having and even if someone can tell you information on that hospital and you find its a great one, you will still be nervious. Just stick with us marchers and we will pull you through this..this time next month you will be on the other side helping the april people, and on the loser side..Good Luck!

Hey, Venus! Welcome to the Marchers! (March surgeries)
BTW...you're also a NINER...anyone having surgery on the 9th, 19th or 29th! Way cool...
I can't recall anything in particular about Beth Isreal, but I do see it A LOT on TLC, DHC, 60 Minutes, Dateline, and other "info nerd" stations (I'm an information junkie. Better than being a paczki junkie, I guess...). That little lightbulb in my head went off when you wrote that and I think you've got yourself an A-#1 hospital there, toots. Isn't Beth Israel where those conjoined twins were just recently separated? Your normal stab-and-slash hospital can't do THAT kind of surgery, ya know? I can't cite you specific things I've heard about it, but it SURE seems to me (like 98% sure here...) that it's a GREAT hospital.
Do yourself a BIG favor - go Google it. You'll find out FOR SURE what it's about. But aside from that, if you love your surgeon, you've got more than half of the winning combination. HE's the one I'd be most concerned with.
You drop in here ANY time you need us. Someone's ALWAYS around to dig ya out of a deep blue funk. We're good at it.
