Info on the Cruise Sept 5th
I found the information on this site a long time ago...I signed up without being approved for surgery first, but having faith...and it is working out for me. This cruise is being organized by an Iris Slack who had WLS and also is a travel agent and a member of a support group called "Bypass Buddies". It is a Carnival cruise ship the Elation, leaving from Houston and going to Progresso, Cozumel and Belize with other days just at sea....our group will have bariatric doctors and speakers on topics like "protein sample seminar" "nutrition seminar" "psych seminar" and Q and A sessions relating to WLS and a way to meet some of the people we have been communicating with. The costs are reasonable, I have forgotten exactly but a cabin with ocean view is less than 800 dollars with everything included. I already got our airfare which was another 200 dollars and there is a fee to transport from airport to ship of 66 dollars. Partial payment was due at sign up, another in April and the balance in June. I got an e-mail from Iris saying there is still room.

Yup, that'd be JUST about what I'd be interested in...it'd be a Splenda'd idea!
It's actually about that time...been re-singled again for almost 2 years now. Seems that that's about how long I go before I unknowingly meet someone 'n it turns into a hot, heavy romance for a few years (last one was just short of 5 years, 2 of which I was engaged to him). Then I get sick of him (in this case, he was bi-polar and 'dumped' me during an episode), become re-singled for another couple of years, and on and on. Life is cyclic that way for me.
Does that make me a bad person?
