I've seen many, many posts concerning the duties of Angel's. So to the best of my recollection this is what an Angel's duties are comprised of.
THE UNOFFISHAL ANGEL HANDBOOK OF NEWPOUCH CITY USA
Angels provide their Angelette with encouragement in the days leading up to their Angelette's surgery when they begin to doubt that they have made a sane and rational choice.
Angels often will go on boards and ask for positive thoughts and prayers on their Angelette's behalf the days before and day of their surgery.
Angels also provide moral support in the days and weeks to follow. When it's your Angel's turn for surgery, you return the favor.
Angels don't have to be from their Angelette's geographic area. Phone and email support work great!!!
Angels, if local, may actually come to the hospital and see their Angelette when you have surgery. They then report back to the group and let them know you're ok.
If your Angel is not local, they can call the hospital and check on you. You MUST exchange all pertinent information for this to happen, and also include them on the list of people that can obtain information from the hospital. Due to the HIPPA laws they MUST be on that list to ask a healthcare professional about you if you're unable to answer your phone or speak coherently.
