A smoothie Blender
Wellllllllllll.. I just bought a blender, said its perfect for frozen drinks.. hahaa.. how bout a frozen protein drink????????? .. Trying to be creative here.. haha.. It also works as a regular blender, puree foods.. oh boy, the thought of that is sooooooooooo appealing!!! Hahaha.. I just have to keep telling myself, that this yucky stage is just that.. a Stage!! I wont have to eat puree, or liquid diets forever.. I also just ordered several protein samples lots of different flavors.. now i will have a nice variety!! Ohhhhhhhh variety is the spice of life.. hahaha.. Have a great day all my fellow Marchers@!!!
also..regarding protien shakes...I am so worried I will hate them my dietician also suggested the Atkins protien drink. She says they taste better then a lot of them. I am guessing they taste something like Slim fast...No idea. There is also another drink.shake you can get but I forgot the name of it and I do not know if it is immediately after surgery but I will get the the name. I think Carb Countdown or something like that. They are suppose to be good and good for you. My nurse is post op and she drinks that.
Bethany...
I suggest you start tryin' 'em now. You just CAN't get enough protein, and you don't want to be stuck post-op with some sludge you can't get down. In this "Atkins" day and age, there's a plethora of good stuff out there...Carb Solutions, EAS AdvantAGE, and on and on...
You can also get stuff like Resource Beneprotein or Unjury - they're tasteless, odorless protein supplements that you throw a scoop of into ANY/EVERYthing. I use the Beneprotein and it is INDEED tasteless/odorless.
But I'd recommend you start ASAP and find some you like.

Hi Bethany,
The Carb Solutions powder (you can get it at Walmart among other places) is not too bad. I also have tried the EAS powder and that is ok too. You might want to watch out for the Atkins because of the fat content, there are others that are lower in the fat department.
Also, passing along tips from my doctor, try to find powders that are good and give you good bang (protein count) for the serving. I think both Carb Solutions and EAS are about 20 grams of protein per serving.
There is another one that I have heard is really good .. Perma Lean .. I haven't tried the powder, but I had one of their bars. OMG, it was REALLY good, but their stuff is pricey.
Carb Countdown is a low carb milk thing, I believe.
Kimmer is right, spend this week trying out stuff, because you are going to need it really soon next week.
Hugs,
