My doctor said that I have to wash with only antibactrial soap the week before the surgery. Has anyone else's doctor said this? He said it was just an extra precaution to make sure I was all ready for the surgery, just wondering if anyone else's doctor said this to them? ~Nicole

I haven't heard that Nicole, but I am sure I will learn a whole lot from my doctor when I go for my pre op on March 4. Hugs, Mo (doin' the 28 day boogie )

My doctor's instructions say to use an antibacterial soap and shower the night before and the morning of surgery. I also had a doctor recommend Dial soap many years ago when my kids caught impetigo. I used it consistently after that and they never had another skin infection.

Nope, wasn't told that, but I use Dial Antibacterial liquid soap anyway. They've got some GREAT scents out now...just got two HUGE bottles of 2 diferent smellygood scents at Meijers last week - they were on sale 2/$5. Kimmer Loves Smellygoods Zero-minus-15 and counting!

Yes, Yes, Yes, I am going through Cori Centers and Dr. Wood did tell me and everyone else at the consultation to use an antibacterial soap twice a day the two days before surgery and the morning of the surgery. He also said to focus on your abdominal area when washing. I guess they want us to be as clean and steril as can be when it comes down to them opening us up. 302lbs/14 days & counting

My doctor said not to worry about using any special soap. Really surprised me. I'm doing it anyway. Better safe. Is dail antibactiarial OK?

When I went last Wed for pre-admint - they gave me soap to bath with the morning of my surgery - I will drive in that day. Pretty standard stuff. He told me to pay special attention to the folds in my skin , under the breast area...and I will happily do so to fight off germ-ies.
