Hello all! I am Julia. Pre-op for March 4th. BUT still having insurance problomes. I will know tomorrow if I am still having my surgury on the fourth. A little more info is included in my profile. Wish me luck with the insurance. I am so so so nervous.

I think it'll be positive this time but I might lose my surgury date if I dont have an answer tomorrow. I was not flat-out denied yet. I was denied on lack of significant medical information to support medical necessity. I just resubmitted with TONS of med records & stuff. PLUS a very persuasive letter.

NOT an official appeal, hopefully it doesnt come to that. I should have an answer tomorrow. Keep me in your prayers. I just wanted to introduce myself. I lurk (an occasionally post) in the main message board forum but decided this might be a better place for me.

Hi Julia, I am new to this forum too, didn't know there was such a thing. I just had the same thing you did with insurance. It was denied on 2/13 and I found out on 2/16 and wrote a strong letter and attached all the letters from my doctors and a fitness trainer and faxed it back as an appeal. I found out Friday the 20th that is was approved! I am scheduled for surgery 3/16. Good luck, sounds like you are doing the right thing and it will work out.
