NOW WHAT????
Hi Everyone,
I went for my pre-op on Tuesday.My Dr says to me I am now going to do your surgery lap instead of open. I say I don't think so. You only do open. So he tells me there is a specialist coming from Montreal to show him how to do the lap surgery. My Dr will not be helping jus****ching. I was a little nervous with someone I don't know doing my surgey but Jo-anne his nurse spoke to me after and said I was very lucky.The Dr coming from Montreal is only doing 4 surgerys 2 on the 4th and 2 on the 5th and just luck of the draw I am one of them. Then she went on to say not to worry this Dr will be showing off his skill and making sure all his t's are crossed and i's are dotted. So not to worry I will be in great hands. Not only that my recovery time will be much shorter. I am glad. I guess . I'm still nervous. Anyone have some nervous of steel

Now on the serious side, I know we are all nervous already and then when something changes it tends to throw us for a loop but I think you are going to be just fine, my surgery is going to be lap and I'm good with that. And your doctor is going to be there for you also, everything good is going to be coming your way with my thoughts and prayers.

Karen, if you're that jazzed 'bout this guy comin' in, CHECK OUT HIS CREDENTIALS. Pull him up on Google and check out his rep. For all you know, he may have been some sort of Nobel Peace Prize Winner for WLS. 
Don't freak out 'til you CHECK it out. 
There's pros and cons to open and Lap. Either will suffice for me, but I happen to have hit two surgeons who both suggested I go Lap (with their option to go open if needed). But to ME (IMHO), it sounds like the WLS Gods just smiled down on ya!
