Missing Persons Report.....

Hey folks, Have you noticed that link to Katarina Parker has disappeared from her postings, her website is down and her email link has vanished. Any ideas? Va

My friend was telling me this same thing the other day about persons that she know who profile has vanished off site and they were really upset about it.

Va Some people are just finding out that your web page (profile) is available to the public at large, Then they ask to have them deleted. or hidden. Don't want to hang their dawers out where everybody can see em I guess. On my knees begging to be Court Jester Betsy

When I "google" my name I get massive numbers of hits, nothing to do with me though. With a name like Virginia and a last name of Herd, I get lots of info about cows, horses, deer, etc in the state of Virginia. Oh well....so much for my self esteem booster. Putting in my phone number is a shocker though. Va

I did that once and found a wanted poster for JOY COOK, kidnapper, and articles written by JOY COOK, journalist, and speeches by JOY COOK, English councilwoman! It kind of felt like alternate realities! Joy (3/1)

When I Googled MY name, it brought up links to posts here on OH. I don't care...pretty much most people know I'm having WLS, and EVERYONE knows I'm nuts, so it didn't bother me. Wow. Before this reply, I went "in search of". Yup. She's gone. I'd hit the link in her message (to her GREAT website that I just hit this morning...), and I get a URL error message. ???? I also noticed the same thing, that some of her buttons are gone from her posts. I did a "search" on her posts, and the last one she wrote was the last one in that thread. VERY disturbing. I've been witness to several other incidents like this happening on a state board. Entire post threads have been wiped clean whenever they referred to a certain "corporate sponsor" in a negative light. I've read one of these posts, read a different post, went back to respond to the original "negative" post, and it was vaporized, and I'm talking MINUTES later. I also know of a real sweet gal whose entire profile disappeared a few weeks ago. She complained to someone (OH techie?), and it was partially restored, but her entire format was gone (she'd had it designed by a website designer), and a lot of the info was lost, along with hours and hours of time and effort. She's not a 'complainer' at all, and was so very upset. I also know of someone who voiced their opinion about the bad treatment they were getting from this same "corporate sponsor", and one of the surgeons from the "corporate sponsor" cancelled this person's surgery as a result of their negative post. That one REALLY sucks. What an awful thing to do to this person. Very disturbing. Very George Orwell-ish. Does anyone have Katarina's email address or made personal contact with her to see what happened? Ummmm - methinks therein would be a reason I might consider setting us up a board over on MSN if anyone is interested. There is a board for general surgery, but I could make one up for us Marchers and anyone else who wanted to join in....... The cool thing about MSN is that you can post pictures in the posts and the person who sets it up makes the rules. Anyone else interested?
