Today's "Five Questions"!
Hello All, I'm guilty of luking for oh,you don't want to know how long! I stood in the corner for five minutes so I'm finished feeling guilty. Kimmer, if you are Queen, Instigator, and High Priestess can you plezzzzz appoint me Court Jester????? Will ya HUH HUH HUH?? Okay on to the questions of the day.
1. Nope, I have a large range of clothes in my closet so I'll just move on to my smaller fav's when the time comes.
2.I know I can I know I can or maybe Geez I can't beleive I ate the whole thing!!!!!!! no It's I know I can I know I can
3.how very fat I really am. Can't beleive how much I rationalized to keep myself from falling down that deep pit. The mind is a wonderful thing most days.
4. One doctor's visit (PCP) I was FREAKIN and my doc just looked at me and said I was getting "the vapors" Now the only reason I know what "the vapors" means is I've read a couple of those steamy romance novels. I said to this wonderful doc "Do I look like the kinda person that has vapors?" So he sez "Not until today you didn't" He gets called out of the room and leaves me sitting there thinking he's right OMG he's right. So I decide this is enough and I lay down on the floor and wait for him. Of course when he comes back he Freaks out and starts yelling "I NEED SOME HELP IN HERE!" I sit up and say "Look who has the Vapors now!!!! He was I didn't think it was so funny when he had to help me get off the floor. Thank God I've already got my psych eval.
5. Besides, My husband ,my dad, both sisters, son ,daughter, various friends(old and new) A quilt my Mom made years ago I call it My feel good blanket.
Boy, all this thinking wore me out I haffa go lay down now. It's great to be a Marcher We Rule!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to be Court Jester Betsy
Hey Kimmer,
I'll do anything for you, so here goes!
1. Oh my gost NO, I hate these damn fat clothes.
2. Waiting, Waiting, Waiting then more waiting.
3. I more than likely had a heart attack and didn't know it, and want other people to know about what is called 'the silent killer.'
4. Having fun with 'the team' cause the secretary to the surgeon is not always a pleasant person, and telling the team how scared of her I am. I can usually get them laughing pretty good.
5. Just a religous, bless article
Love, Peace and Prayers to my fellow Marchers.
Betty
Well, off the top of my head, here goes...
1.) Heck NO!
2.) I'm doing this for ME!!!
3.) I really haven't discovered anything that surprises me. Like most things in my life, getting approved for this life change has been an uphill battle. I'm used to it -- it was nice that I was doing battle for myself, rather than for one of my children.
4.) Sadly, nothing. But I haven't had my nutrition class or pre-op tests yet...
5.) No. Just me, myself, and I.
Hugs,
-Marcie
no hat-hair here
1) Are there any particular outfits/clothes that you're going to miss?
Actually there are a couple of drop dead gorgeous dresses that my Mom (she died is Sept) bought me that I will never!!!NEVER!!! give up. I may become small enough for my husband and I both to fit in them but they will NEVER leave my closet!!
2) What would your mantra/motto/statement be that captures you and your WLS journey (so far AND in the future)?
When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and a good FRIEND will be there.
3) What is the most surprising thing you've found out about yourself during your journey so far?
After years and years of being afraid to admit in public how much I actually weigh, I didn't actually die of embarassment when the truth came out.
4) What is the FUNNIEST thing that's happened to you so far?
The purple cow thing was really hysterical yesterday, I had a good laugh when I got on the elevator.
5) Are you taking anything "sentimental" or a "good luck" thing to the hospital with you? If so, what is it?
I'm taking a big stuffed bear that we gave my son when he was probably still a toddler. (According to my friend Aimee, having something to hold against the body when you walk in the halls, really helps the "Oh my gosh, my guts are going to fall out feeling.)
Happy thoughts,
Va
11 sunrise until my new life begins!!
1. Nope, I have clothes to fit me for a while . as I shrink into them. I might (and I say MIGHT) have to miss my favorite NASCAR jackets, but I think I just might be wearing those XXL's anyway !!!
2. This is for me and I can do it
3. That I am not scared.
4. To steal Joy's line, my life is already a barrel of laughs, so there really isn't anything unusually funny happening.
5. I just got a blue Post Office Happy Birthday bear. I might take that with me. I hadn't really thought too much about it yet.
Hugs,
Mo ( dancin' to the tune of 31 days til ..... )
Ummmmmmmmmm, my birfday is/was February 1. My bear was a bit late, he arrived with a note appologizing for being late, but his ride kept leaving him behind at the P.O.
(and there were no dancing penquins .. sorry .. I prefer dancing flamingos myself .. will have to find the pictures of the 50 lawn flamingos that appeared in my yard 4 years ago for the BIG 50 day!!!)
Doin' the 31 days and countin' boogie
hugs,
Mo
1) Are there any particular outfits/clothes that you're going to miss?
No way! I hate all of my clothes. I can't wait to get new clothes that are way more sexier!
2) What would your mantra/motto/statement be that captures you and your WLS journey (so far AND in the future)?
That I am strong enough to do anything.
3) What is the most surprising thing you've found out about yourself during your journey so far?
That I can laugh at myself and make fun of myself and not feel bad about it.
4) What is the FUNNIEST thing that's happened to you so far?
Hmmm....I guess laughing at the thought of standing on a cliff after I'm down to goal, naked, letting the wind blow the extra fat around and taking a picture for prosperity. That just sounds WAY too funny!
5) Are you taking anything "sentimental" or a "good luck" thing to the hospital with you? If so, what is it?
The only thing I'm going to be taking is my pillow, (I love my pillow!) my mom, and my fiance. He's the one I want to see when I wake up.

5-I am taking my kids pictures.
I'm taking it with me all the way to the operating room. I'm going to show everyone in the O.R and tell them not to screw up cause these (show them the picture) kids still need there mom..I wonder if that is to much pressure for them LOL
