Thank you all for such a great board
I am having my surgery on mar.3, and have been surfing this site every free minute. Some of the postings have me a little frightened (like them doing the test by putting something down your throat etc...) but most of the posts have been extemely helpful with a few laughs in between (the manners question concerning grisle had me rolling).
It is extemely comforting to see that the people on these boards are super supportive and am looking to using this great resource in the weeks, months and years to come.

I didn't like some of the scary stuff I would read about on here either but then this other board I visit started this thing about not letting anyone post anything negative... This really cheesed me off!!! I think we should know all the possibilities we are facing good and bad and make an informed decision!!!!
Someone wrote in about post op pain and they were so mean and even told her "If you feel bad e mail someone but don't post negativity because you'll scare the pre-ops"
WELL DUH I think we all know surgery hurts!!!! and she should have been able to come there for support...
SO you will see some scary things on here and even worse on talk shows 
but if you have a date and are this far in your journey then nothing you see on here or anywhere else can change your mind...
Not everyone needs to be scoped and I have only seen positive things about it like you sleep thru the whole thing....
