WOW. "STIFF" board!

IT IS ALIVE!!! I was WAITING for you to come 'n put yer .02 in here. Got your roll of pennies sittin' right next to my keyboard! I already know your view on it...I'm sure my observation didn't surprise you in the LEAST, eh? Kathy, I was just so annoyed when I was reading today, and I was sad for those who needed help and weren't gettin' it. There's some there who sure could use some answers from others, and they're just being totally ignored. I felt so bad for them...I mean, I couldn't even give LAME advice on their issues, so I didn't reply at all - I couldn't help 'em and those that could weren't. It was stuff that was way over my head (no jokes 'bout me only being 4' 12" here...). And being a pre-op doesn't help, either. Our pre-op opinions are 'humored' there, for lack of a better word, or maybe 'tolerated' - ? I dunno. And I'm just so-o-o glad you're with The Marchers. I like you bein' here wit us! I'm just GLAD to know what we've got going here. I really truly am. We've got genuinely caring people. You just FEEL it rolling off the monitor. I'll NEVER allow anyone to be ignored here as long as I'm on this board. I mean, look at some of the stuff that's been done for those on this board: Look at Va and her OUTRAGEOUS list. THAT is an act of love. Look at Joy and all the information she's not only given us, but at length (e.g. her post about hair) - that's taken her personal time to look up and TYPE OUT, if nothing else. Look at how many have offered THEIR experiences with proteins. Or have offered past surgical experiences, or current cardiac conditions and how to cope with them. And on. And on. Andonandonandon...ad infinitum. It's just so different here. Anyhoo, I wuz wonderin' if you were gonna yell nasty things at me and tell me how wrong I was 'bout dat board...BWAHAHAH!! WEll, Being a fairly newbie person here, I have nothing but KUDDOS to say about the board and the website a whole! I have recommended it to other people and to my parents to help them understand. I am soooo happy to have others to talk to and ask questions without feeling like it is a stupid question or whatever. It also has meant the world to me to have some support from others. I welcome anyone who needs or wants an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on or a friend to celebrate with! Come one, come all! Cathy 21 days til I rock my world!

I just LOVE this board I have been to others and too felt shunned and ignored. Here I feel really accepted, loved, and a part of something great. It brightens my day to read all the stuff Kimmer, Kelley, Mo, and Joy have to say. They have such a sense of humor that makes our board so special. There is a feeling of family here and undertanding. It's become an addiction of mine, one my hubby doesn't always understand. Thanks all of you Marchers out there for being there for me. (And a special thanks to my angel Va for taking me under her wing -- she doesn't know what she's gotten herself into ) Whitney

...at least you wouldn't be 'shunned'! Maybe there's just not a lot of obese people in RI? I mean, after all, I live in the northern suburbs of Detroit, the city that was recently named the FATTEST city in the nation!
