March 22 is my date.

It seem like March is never going to get here. I am nervous, happy, and excited. I was returning a item at Foley's and found a wrap skirt on sale for $8.00 size 20. I brought. It won't be longer before I CAN WEAR IT. I will finally be on the losing size. Any suggesting on some things I need to do before surgery. I have started working out. I have a PT working with me. I have lost 8lbs. I want to lose a total of 15 before my surgery (just for me). What things should I bring to the hostipal with me?

Isn't it exciting? I have clothing from size 30 to size 18 in my closet and I just can't wait to get back into some things, and actually wear a few items for the first time! LOL! What to bring to the hospital? I'm not sure but I know my laptop is probably the main thing I will want there! ;) Dina

Welcome to the Marchers, Marla !!! An extra HUG because we share a date I am with Dina, my laptop is DEFINITELY going with me!!! I know I need to start being serious about what I might really need while I am there, but I haven't even given a thought to what bag things will even go into. I have a house/closet full of clothes from 12 to 26 and I can't wait to wear things that I haven't fit into in at least 10 years, and even then not for long while I hit a weight before I started back up again. I shouldn't have to buy anything for a while, but I am sure I will find an excuse. I have been following a 'eat the right type of carbs and watch that fat content' type food plan and while I didn't lose a lot the first 2 weeks, this past weekend it felt like my jeans would be falling off me soon. It figures JUST when I find a pair of zip-up-no-elastic-involved jeans that fit, I am going to shrink out of them. Well, I noticed at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Saturday afternoon that they have racks upon racks of jeans, so I will probably be able to find more. Hugs, Mo

Hey Marla!! For what to bring to the hospital, check out Sharon Neva's profile. She has lots of good information there. I should follow your lead and check out the clearance racks!!! I could probably find some good bargains for post op clothes. Great Idea I wish I had a laptop to take with me. I won't be able to check in with you guys until I get back home Whitney

Hi Whitney! You don't need a laptop to keep in touch with us... just find someone to post to us about you and how you're doing... You know an angel!!!! I am Kimmer's angel and I will be posting every single detail of her surgery and post op status... and if it all sounds boring I will be spicing it up a bit.. (I already have the beginnings for a great story about her and an intern who is tall dark and handsome and knows very little English and he owns several villas in Italy...) but that's all for post op in case it gets boring Kathy Angel of Kimmer

Hi Kathy, You know to keep up with Kimmer's style, you'll have to spice it up a lot and be sure to put lots of cuties in We'll really be having Kimmer withdrawls while she is in!! Yup, Whit Darlin'... I'm not just lucky, I'm TOTALLY AWESOMELY BLESSED to have Kathy as my Angel to keep youse guyses in the know 'til I can get back to pounding the keyboard after I get back home. Kathy THINKS her Angel Duties are done then...oh, how WRONG she is! HAHAHA!! She's a life-long member of The Marchers!! And...I think I probably would've needed a "special" kind of Angel...um, someone boring would've been wonderful, too (don't get me wrong). But the total MATCH that Kathy and I are is just uncanny!!! I think maybe her and I were sisters separated at birth by My Mother's Other Daughter (my blood sister). It's just too spooky that there's TWO of us psychos out there!! Hi Marla, we will be sharing the same date March 22nd ,I cant wait to finally see the weight go away, I have to fit into my Wedding Dress! It is a size 20) for the end of july ! I know in my heart If I try hard enough I can do it! I hung it right infront of the tredmill, to keep me motivated...lol I also just started walking 2 miles everyother day, which should also help! I know it will a bumpy road ahead of us , but we will do fine! I will keep you in my prayers also, God bless all the Marchers!
