New to the board....my date is March 10th!
Hello all - thought I would peek my head in andn say "hi!" I am going to Ensenada Mexico (Dr. Aguirre) for my open RNY and will be down there until March 17th. I am very excited about it right now and can't wait to fast forward a few months down the line to when I start seeing and feeling the difference!
For those not seeing my profile yet, I'm 50.1 bmi, 322-326 lbs depending on the day and the usual spiel - fat all my life. I can't believe I will actually end up smaller than I have ever been in my adult life - it's just so exciting for me I can barely contain it.
I'm 37 now but wish I had this done years ago. In my 20's I always thought I could do it on my own. I rally was convinced I'd be able to do it. As the years went by it crept up more and more. So much for my self-discipline. I have not been under 200 for over 15 years now and can't wait to see what it's like to wear a size 16 or better yet - a 14 again! What a change from a 28, huh? 
Anyway - enough blabbering on. Glad you all are here. I'll probably be coming back a lot as the time nears and after the surgery to get advice and support!

Alright! A NEW Tequila/Kahlua 'mule'!! 
Ah, Dina...we had a gal, "Mama July", who was going to be having her surgery in Ensenada. Can't remember why, but she's not with us anymore...think her date was moved out of March and she defected. 
She agreed that it'd only be 'right' for her to bring us back little bottles of MESCAL TEQUILA from her trip. You know, the ones with the WORM (make sure the worm is at the BOTTOM of the bottle...a word of advice...
) and the hot lick attached to the neck at the bottle. I've got ONE bottle left from when I went to Tijuana years ago. I brought 'em back for all my buddies. I was their new BEST friend afterward! 
So...waddya say? 
BTW, we've heard that Dr. Aguirre uses Tequila during your "clear fluids" stage post-op, and Kahlua (another Mexican fav I brought back) for "full fluids", you lucky booger!
