Prayers please!-not really about the surgery though
Hi everyone,
I'm having a rough time right now. My 14 month old daughter, Anna, has come down with RSV. She is starting to get better and now my son and I have got colds too. My son is 2 1/2 and has been restless most of the night because he's having trouble breathing. I have these horrendous ear aches in both ears that are keeping me awake (that's why I'm posting at 3:57 a.m. central time!). I have had this cold/ear problem since Christmas time and just about the time I think I have gotten rid of it, it rears it's ugly head again. I am so worried that this is going to be a problem come surgery time. This is driving me !
Okay, I will quit whining for now and go drink some hot tea! I hope you all have a great week!

Thanks for the prayers guys! Took my son to the Dr. this morning and he gave him a shot of Rocephin and prescriptions for a steroid medication and another antibiotic. Sound his lungs sound congested and if he's not better by Friday I have to take him back. He gave me medicine too but said my daughter is doing much better and we can stop the breathing treatments for her. Thanks for letting me whine here, even though it wasn't really about the surgery.

Hey, Toots...
We're not here just for WLS issues, we're here for YOU, you goofball!! Any concern you have is ours to pray 'bout, donchaknow?
It sounds like you're all on the mend, but stay on top of it: I've had a sinus infection since SEPTEMBER, and every time I think it's going away, it kicks in full boar again. Everyone in my family is getting headcolds and stuff...which is why I won't go around them now: too close to surgery. They realize it, and don't take offense at all. The worst part is that because of the colds and bronchitises, I haven't seen my precious great nephew (Tyler) since Christmas Eve. He'll be 3 months old on the 20th, and I'm DYING to kiss those fat cheeks, but can't chance it 'cuz even HE'S had a cold, poor little guy!
BUT -- be SURE you stay on top of it. If you start getting worse, get in to your Dr. You can't afford to have an elevated white blood cell count pre-op! If your Dr. gives you antibiotics, FINISH THEM, don't just take some 'til you begin to feel better. Antibiotics need to be taken right thru to the end of the prescription.
Feel better, sweetie. I've 'got your back' in prayer!!

Hi Ladies!!! You are all wonderful!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I am so lucky to be a MARCHER!!!!
My son sounds a LOT better than he did the night before last. I think the shot the Doc gave him was the kick in the pants he needed. He still sounds cruddy but he's definately on the mend. I feel like my drugs are starting to kick in too because I can actually smell the burnt plastic that my son put in the microwave this morning and "cooked". He said "me cook Mommy, me cook". My little "angel"! LOL I was not laughing this morning though when he pulled that little stunt!
I am proud to be a Marcher!
