Thanks girls for all your responses and the warm welcome, I'll be a consistant lurker for sure! Yashoney, hey there, good luck with your surgery too! Are we the only ones for the 15th or what?? Lets keep in touch and follow each with our journeys, well if you want?! Kathy, Thank you so much for your advice, I had a gut feeling about the diet pills, but I'm so desparate too shed some pounds. HOwever the last couple of days I'm getting craps in my wrists/arms and legs, so I stopped and definitely had your advice ringing in my ear. I appreciate ALL the advice and think this forum is awesome, thanks! April, Maybe I have a twin at Dr. Ballatine's office, which is really scarey to think LOL! I'm having my surgery 3/15/04 with Dr. Greenbaum in Willingboro NJ, after seeing several surgeons in the tri-state area. (((((((HUGS))))))) Wendy

WENDY, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR APPROVAL.I AM ALSO HAVING SURGERY ON MARCH 15.SINCE I GOT MY DATE THE DAYS SEEM TO BE FLYING BY.IM GETTING REALLY NERVOUS, BUT ALSO VERY EXCITED.ALSO IF YOU ARE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE SURGERY,I WOULD RECOMMEND THE ATKINS DIET,THATS WHAT IM DOING RIGHT NOW AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING QUITE WELL.AND YOU GET REALLY GOOD PROTEIN INTAKE.YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO RISK CANCELATION OF YOUR SURGERY BY TRYING METHODS THAT ARE NOT HEALTHY FOR YOU.WELL ANYWAYS CONGRATS AND I WILL DEFINETLY KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS FOR A QUICK RECOVERY AND UNEVENTFUL SURGERY. Thanks Melissa, you too, my thoughts and prayers will be with that day as were both heading in to the OR for the beginning of our journey. Yipeee! Keep in touch before & after the surgery....I'm getting really, really nervous & excited now that the day seems to be just around the corner and all these emotions are coming into play.
