Still Gaining!!!

Hey am I the only one still gaining weight while waiting for my surgery date to come. It seems as if everytime I eat I gain 1 or 2 pounds. I think it's do to that darn birth control shot. I will never get that horrible thing again. Yes it give you major moods swings and keeps you hungry all of the time. I think It's starting to wear off a little. I'm not as hungry anymore, but I do want my sweets.

I hated the shot to! I will NEVER EVER EVER go on it again!!!!! I gained 40 or so pounds each time I was on it! UGH, HATE IT! Kelley

I'm so sorry for you two!!! I've been on Depo for years now, and probably won't be off of it for several more. It's been a LIFESAVER for me! I've NEVER had a problem with it (a couple pounds of weight gain is NOTHING compared to constant dysmenorrhea...). And once ya hit menopause, it's like something sent directly from heaven: I've still got VERY VERY VERRRRRRRRRRRY mild hot flashes and nite sweats, but NOTHING compared to what my sister went thru. We THINK I'm finally thru menopause (my Gyn did a hormone study last year and it said I am thru, but I've still got SOME very very MILD symptoms), but Gyn is keeping me on it for another couple of years just to make sure. We don't want my last "cycle" to be The Mother Of All Cycles...OMG, I think after being spoiled for this long, I'd die from it!
