I'VE GOT A DATE with ANOTHER MAN

And my husband likes it too..... He is my doc and I am so grateful that he will help me change my life. I got my surgery date. This happened so quick it made my head First doctors' appointment on 1-23-04, ins. approved on 2-5-04 within 24 hrs. after they received a letter from doctor and now surgery on 3-10-04. I just love writing that date. This will be the date to my new life I have just joined this web-site very very recently, but still would like to have some support from all of you. Your words of wisdom and encouragement are very vital to me now as I grow closer to that big date . Thanks, Tammy

Holy Snotballs, Batman...that was QUICK!!! I THINK (not sure...) you may just hold the record for Quickest Approved. How COOL is that! I got my approval the day after Christmas -- best gift I could've thought of getting! But I'd started the journey on August 22. I thought I had an easy go of it!! You're gonna get all the support you possible need with us. We're all going thru this together and have become pretty much glued to each other in the trek. It's great to have others who you can blow steam with, who you can throw out questions without worrying about looking STOO-PID with, who you can be scared with, who you can be giddy with, who are going thru the same stuff you're going thru. I've been waiting aloooooong time. I've gone crazy waiting for My surgery date to come. And now its finally almost here!!! This "March" board has really helped the time pass, THANKYOU EVERYONE! Tammy, Congrats on your quick approval and date !!! I struggled with my decision for about 2 1/2 years before I even had a consult. Making the appointment for that first consult really shook me up, but I went through with it. I decided not to go through with that surgeon, and found one slightly closer to home, and in my insurance (whew .. that was a relief). I go back to my doctor/surgeon tomorrow for a 2nd visit a day before my original appointment was scheduled for. They were able to move me up 2 weeks to begin with, which in turn meant my surgery could be that much sooner. I am waiting on my approval, but I am not sure the letter has been done yet. With luck, mine will come through quickly, tho Kimmer is right, you must hold the record there!!! Take care, and keep hanging around this board, it becomes addictive. Hugs, Mo

Yeah...it's addictive 'cuz we're just all so sweet, just like sugar! But after surgery, you'll be able to tolerate us, UNLIKE sugar! Congrats from a fellow Okie!! My journey has been short too! I decided to have WLS on my birthday (January 12) called the very next day to set up with a surgeon (found out that I had to attend a seminar first) - Seminar February 2, Got a date on February 6, and my new life will begin March 23. It's gone so fast it's making my head spin This board is a real hoot I'm glad I found it!! Let me know if there is anything I can do for ya! Whitney
