Hospital stuff.
I bought my pj's yesterday and I got new slippers for xmas. So now I think I need a nice robe and I love the bath and body works Idea for lotion. I have dry skin and 1 elbow that hurts it's so dry. Great idea on smelly lotion. And we all deserve to be pampered!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am glad to know I am not the only one getting ready , and possibly going crazy. See you on the loosing side in 20 days !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is her list....
TAKE TO THE HOSPITAL:
A roomy bath robe
Slip on slippers (so you won't need to bend over)
Small fan (especially if you're hot natured)
Loose fitting clothes or dress to wear home
(can be the same thing you wear to the hospital)
Maxipads (some women start their period after surgery)
Chapstick
Hairbrush, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Lotion
Baby wipes
Tongs
(to help reach with wipes places you might not be able to reach)
Antibacterial hand gel
CD player for relaxation and to block out noise
Magazines or books
ABSOLUTE NECESSITIES: Slip on slippers and Chapstick
Thanks for all the great suggestions, fellow Marchers! I plan on bringing stuff to make me feel comfortable and gorgeous also, but I know it will have to be post-op. My MD said that I have to bathe the night before and the morning of surgery with some special anti-bacterial soap to prevent infection, so all the girly stuff will have to wait until later. I am just splurging on new slippers and using my summer nightgown/bathrobe. Good idea about the phone card and CD player! I plan on reading my BUTT off (literally) during post-op period. Just set up a corner of my kitchen with all my toys (blender, baby food grinder, Sugar-Free Tang, liquid flavorings, veggie and chicken broths, etc.), and am doing the countdown (16 days to go). Am going to try to get some sleep. Have been having real problems with insomnia again.
