Anyone else having their gall bladder out too?
I already had my gall bladder taken out in 1996. It was the BEST thing I'd ever had done, and was a piece of cake having it removed. I hadn't realized that I'd been having gall bladder "attacks" for the previous 10 years 'til I had the worst one, and it was just one notch above the others. Hida Scan showed one stone, and it was just dis-lodging from the duct during the scan. I had it removed by laparoscopy...I already have 4 little scars from that, will have 6 to 7 more from this, am thinking about charging some hotties to play "connect the dots/scars" when I drop the weight...HAHAH!
BTW, I'm a sick pup, and I asked them to keep my gall stone for me. They did (my friend had "pebbles" that they kept for her and they're pretty...look like agates). My gall stone looks EXACTLY like a petrified olive with sugar-coating on the outside. Pretty interesting!
I've read that quite often, post-WLS have problems with their gall bladders afterward and end up having them removed anyway. I don't remember why it happens. I'd opt to have it removed if mine wasn't already gone.
