Quiznos Commercials

Has anyone seen that Quiznos Subs commercial with the two little furry things playing guitar and singing? I LOVE the commercial, just saw it again. But...what the heck ARE those things? Mice? Hamsters? Kimmer Queen of the "Niners"

Hi Kimmer, I am new to this site and this is the first time I have posted anything. I know this is totally unrelated to WLS but I saw the commercial a few times! I asked my husband the same thing!! He said they looked like deformed hamsters!! It's cute but I'm not sure how much it will help quiznos?? I would have to say those freeky creatures don't make me want to eat! Melissa

Well, hey, welcome to the board, Melissa! The first time I saw that commercial, I was just falling asleep in bed (I usually fall asleep with the TV on). I heard that hoaky singing, 'n looked up and thought "What the HECK is this?" Then I saw the Quiznos in the background, and thought "What the Heck does this have to do with Quiznos?". I sat straight up and was just mesmerized trying to figure it out. Every time I've seen it since, I just burst out laughing -- it's just so bizarre. (OMG...I just heard it in the living room and RAN to check it out...) ANYway, each time I just look closer and closer, and those hairball things are, like you said, FREAKY. The eyeballs are demented, the teeth/mouth look rabid...I LOVE IT!! I have to agree with your husband...I think they're deformed hamsters...at least their BODIES are anyway ('cept the one playing the guitar has what appears to be chicken legs for arms...). I love Quiznos subs, and in fact, that's on my list of things to have for one of my "Last Supper"s. I'm just hoping they have stuffed animals or dolls that look like the hairballs...gotta have 'em! I LOVE THOSE COMMERCIALS !!! I was driving everyone at work crazy from singing that stupid song.I don't know what they are.They sure dont make me want a sub though...lol Those teeth are gross!!

Okay, I had to chime in... I HATE those commercials! They totally FREAK me out. They're just downright scary. Anyway, I'm not sure they're doing Quizno's any good -- even if they are being noticed because of the fact that they are bizarre, who wants to eat after seeing that? NASTY!

Hmmm...good point....sounds like they'd be effective as WLS 'mascots' if that's the case! If nothing else, it may keep people from straying from their post-op diets! Just flash 'em a picture of the little hairballs...voila! No more appetite! (They wouldn't have that effect on me...I think they're sorta cute in a mutant kind of way...)
