Hi Tammy! Welcome to the Marchers and congratulations on your approval and surgery date! WOOOOHOOO! I sympathize with the long battle. I went through denials and appeals myself and finally ended up just changing insurance to get my approval. I fought all last year and when we changed insurance at the end of the year my Dr. sent in the request on Jan. 2 and by Jan. 6 I had an approval. I don't understand why insurance companies are so different and some have to be so difficult It's a wonder we don't have more people going postal on them. LOL It's nice when you can actually win with an insurance company I'm off to now. Have a great weekend! Carrie

Hey, hey, hey...watch that "going Postal" stuff: you're talking about My Corporate Masters there...(I've been "Postal" for 19 years now...Royal Oak Post Office, to be precise, where "going Postal" originated ). NOW do ya understand why I'm such a loon? Kimmer Proudly Serving My Corporate Masters

Hey Kimmer! You know, someone has to do the job! But "going insurancal" just doesn't do it, you know? Keep up the good work! I wouldn't call you a loon Just a little crazy like the rest of us! Have a great day!!! Carrie Carrie Quite Contrary

"Going insurancal"...I like it! I like it alot! Yeah, I see what ya mean, Carrie. Like, when Insurance folk reach their limit, what do they do? Tear up someone's policy? Not quite the same... Nah, I don't take offense - there's very few things I actually do take offense to. I just had to take a stand publicly so if any of my Corporate Masters read any of this, they won't fire me. Welcome to the "Marchers", Tammy! Wowzer...sixteen months! This approval process ain't for sissies! Glad you persisted: I've read several profiles where people have just given up 'cuz they got so discouraged. So sad. Hang with us 'til your day comes: we'll keep ya off the streets and out of trouble! Kimmer Queen of the "Niners"

Hey Tammy!! If you are at Baptist Health, we will be in the hospital together. Dr. Baker is doing my surgery Mar 1. I'll look for you on Wed!!! I should be walking the halls by then. Congratulations on getting your date! Joy (3/1)

Wow...that'd be WAAAAY cool...to know someone at the hop-sittle! Then you can do the official "Marchers Secret Handshake" together and drive all the other patients nuts and green with envy! Whoa... Ah, Joy-ful C., if your doc is anything like MY doc, you're gonna be walking the halls about one-half hour after you hit your room. I think it's pretty much SOP, prevents embolism and all. Gee, I can hardly WAIT... I've been advised to hit my morphine pump JUST before I get out of bed for that first stroll. Sure hope they don't expect us to do the Happy Dance at that time. Yeah, Dr. Baker will have us up walking pretty quickly. My hubby was up within an hour of getting into his room. It's necessary, but I won't lie, it's gonna be painful. And by the way, my surgery's been moved up to March 2, so I'll see you a day early.
