March 22nd, a special date for me

First I am thrilled that I finally have a date. Next I am calmed by the fact my surgeon is taking a few days off with his family (to relax) the week before my surgery. Third I am a Monday surgery (early in the week). And finally I am blessed to be having surgery on my dear grandmother's birthday. As someone online said to me, it's your grandmother's birthday and your rebirth day! Call me HAPPY, HAPPY REBIRTH DAY!

Congrats! My Lap RNY is scheduled for March 9th -- MY Grandma's birthday, too! She passed when I was in 9th grade, and I've always said I never really got to know her as a teen or an adult, just as a child, and I wish I could have shared more with her. Well, now I'm sharing birth- and re-birthdays with her...can't ask for much more than that all these years later! Here's to Grandma's and our new lives!
