FIFTY, FIT, AND FEELIN' GOOD...
Happy belated Birthday... My mom turned 50 in Feburary, and we got her a tandem skydive for her birthday... She did her jump the Saturday before Mother's Day, and had the time of her life, and now wants to skydive all the time... She's loving 50, and I hope you do too...

-185lbs and lovin it...
Lori, my 12 year old son suggested I do this! I asked him if he meant with a parachute or without one...I'm deathly afraid of heights so won't be jumping out of any planes any time soon, despite one of my life philosophies being, "Face your fear and do it anyway!" Happy birthday to your mom and so good to hear from you! How are you doing???
Happy Birthday!!!
I just hit that landmark myself last month, so I can really relate to what you are feeling. It is my goal, also, to take off another 10 pounds in the coming year. You are a true role model and an inspiration to all of us. Your success never ceases to amaze me. You are more special than you can ever imagine!
Soooo....you turned 50 and have a 17 year old daughter. I turned 50 and have a 17 year old daughter. We had our surgery the same month of the same year. What are the odds??? No wonder I feel such a connection to you!
Again, Happy Birthday....be healthy and happy always!

Hey you, I missed you at the SG meeting on Tuesday! How are you feeling these days? I know you're going through a rough patch -- remember, these terribly difficult times are associated with loss (your kids moving away, your relationship ending) and the only effective way to deal with loss is to reach the stage of acceptance. Train that voice inside your head to say, "My kids are moving away to begin new chapters in their lives. I'm so proud of them, and that means I'm proud of me for being the kind of mother I've always been to them. They are moving on, and that's okay, I'm happy they are so happy. Now, what are my options?" -- Or something to that effect. Give it a try, Pammie!
