FIFTY, FIT, AND FEELIN' GOOD...
Well, folks, I turned 50 today. Half-a-century on the planet and I am just beginning to learn to walk. This is a tough birthday, turning 40 was a breeze compared to this. But I'm fit; fifty and fit, how do you like that? I weigh 145 lbs. and will get another 10 off in this next year. I am maintaining physically much easier than mentally, but am really working through that tough stuff, hopefully toward resolution and peace of mind. Right now, I'm going to concentrate on hitting the track and heading down to the water on my lunch hour, like I try to do every day. The sun is shining and there is much to be thankful for - there always is. Hope all is well with everyone. Where's Ken??? M.
Happy Birthday!!!!! Fifty is the new 30. You know Maureenie, you are certainly what I envision when I think of a weight loss success story. You continue to do wonderfully, no matter what life throws at you. I know that sometimes you don't feel like you're doing all that great, but you're my hero. I'm looking forward to the post for your 60th birthday.
Love,
Connie
Happy Birthday, Maureen!!
50 is a state of mind. When I turned 50, I was just starting to rebound from my low-ebb. I had already made the WLS decision and was trying to lose some weight before the big day 5 months later. Now, as I approach 53, I feel better than I did at 40!!!
You, on the other hand, have the advantage of already being a weight-loss success story as you hit this milestone. You are and inspiration to us all!! Congratulations, my good friend, and I wish you good health and happiness as you begin your next 50 years!!
