Hi Everyone! Got back from vacation a while back but haven't had time to post...I've been sort of lurking for a while. Vacation was great. ***** Cana is a beautiful, tropical paradise. We stayed at an all-inclusive...all you can eat and drink. I ate and drank all I wanted and actually lost a couple of pounds there. I have no idea how that happens, but it got me to thinking. I figure if I stay with healthy foods and eat something every 3 hours, I won't get that starving feeling and the urge to binge. So far, it's been working out...I've kept off the 2 pounds and am looking forward to losing about 8 more. As much as I ate and drank what I wanted, I think it is now part of who I am to just be careful and not get crazy with the food. I didn't eat a lot of anything...just tastes of this and that. Sugar is still and always will be the enemy...and being in another country, you just never know how foods, spices, and different combinations will affect your system. I have the best boyfriend in the world, but I think my stressing over food was getting on his nerves too. I didn't dump, but a couple of times, I just ate wrong...or food**** me differently than what I was used to. You know the feeling....it's like being drugged. Basically, though, I tried to relax as much as I could...took long walks on the beach...and we took a dance lesson every day. What does everyone think of the eating every 3 hours theory? It seems to be keeping me satisfied without being overly full and it also seems to fight cravings. Time will tell if it gets this extra 8 pounds off. Hope all is well with everyone.... Love, Joanie

Hi Joanie; Welcome back!! I'm glad that you had a good time. I'm not sure about the eating every 3 hours system, but I'd be interested to hear if it works for you. Mike

Yeah!!!!!! Joanie's home. I've missed you. I find that I'm on a 4 hour feeding schedule. If I go longer than that, I have blood sugar issues. I seem to maintain OK with that schedule and don't get to the point where I'm so famished I could eat my own arm. I lost weight in Spain and I really believe it was the type of food I was eating. The diet is so much healthier there. Lots of seafood and little fried food. Convenience foods are my downfall. I'm glad you're back because for awhile, you could hear crickets around here. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Love ya huge, Connie
