The Ultimate Sacrifice
This morning we lost a member of the Phoenix area weight loss community. He had wls last week, developed a leak and complications and finally lost the battle this morning. John leaves behind a wife and several small children. I remember that we lost at least two members of our March board back in 2004 and almost lost the Caboose.
The loss of John this morning reminds me of the huge risk we all took two years ago and makes me appreciate the opportunity for life that we have been given all the more. I'm going to go hug my dog.
Connie
Hi Connie;
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of John. Yes, we all did take a gamble two years ago, but we were also heading for an early exit without the surgery. I do, however, count my blessings that my surgery was such a rousing success. My daughter's boyfriend wants me to talk to his morbidly obese mother about gastric bypass surgery. It's easy to point to your own success, but not always easy to remember those who did not have our success.

Hey Connie
Sorry to hear that, I was wondering do you
know what ever happened to our caboose. We
had asked last month, but never heard. I know
he was recovering, finally, but, sure would
like to know how he is now. Just goes to show that we have been extremely lucky without any of those problems that are still
out there with this type of surgery.
