Topic: RE: pain when I eat
I can do the dark meat of chicken but not the white meat. And you have to remove the skin. Watch out for the skins on some fruits as well like apples and grapes. They don't go down either.
Just take it slow and it will come along. I have friends 1 yr out and they can eat hamburger which is something I can not do yet. But I can eat a hot dog. I still can not do much bread. It has to be toasted or I can do some of a biscut but not a sandwich or hamburger or hot dog buns.
Take care!

Topic: RE: Am I A WLS Failure???
Marilyn, sorry I took so long to respond. You are in no way a failure! You lost 45 Lbs! You are doing great! Remember everyones body reacts differently to this surgery. Your weight will keep coming off without you even noticing. I think you look great! You are only 4 months Post-op. You are doing exactly what your supposed to be doing, just try and stay away from those sugars! I know it's tough because I don't dump either (not yet)and occasionally I have something I'm not supposed to (like candy), but that's me, hehe. Please keep us updated. I love you girl! God Bless.

You are not a failure. Would you have lost that weight in 4 months prior to surgery? That is 44 pounds gone forever!!!! You are doing great!! I had my surgery on March 17th and I have lost 59-60 pounds depending on what time of day I step on the scale.. Everyone looses at a different rate. I thought I was loosing slow too but my doctor said I am doing great.. and so are you!!
