I haven't had one since my surgery 5 months ago. But I also had problems before surgery. I'm not sure that surgery has anything todo with it. Sorry.

Lucky you! I'm having my third one for the month and it really stinks. Darn, those hormones and estrogen. I could probably take something to regulate it, but I refuse too. Best Wishes, Heather 280/180/130

Topic: RE: Is anyone feeling tired?
I'm new at this. I just found all of you. I had surgery March 7, 2003 at MCO in Toledo, Ohio. Feeling like a totally new person. My energy levels are of the chart. And my joints, hips and knees are doing much, much better. I actually got called a "Hottie" today. WOW! No one ever called me that before. Am looking forward to reading all of your posts. Will post more later. Dawn post-op 3/7/03 Dr. Kligman/MCO -92#

Dana - I am so glad to hear your daughter is settling in and getting adjusted! Before you know it, she will have so many friends at school and be back to her old self! I know it's hard, but you will soon be back to your old self and adjusted as well! When your feeling lonly in the house, get out and take a walk or something. Get your mind off of being there alone. Maybe start a hobby like scrapbooking or something. Good luck to you hun and hang in there!

Topic: RE: Cravings
Try drinking some water or crystal light or something Marilyn. You may not be "hungry", just needing something in your stomach. So try drinking.....and then like Jan said, if after an hour you are still feeling the cravings eat some protein.

Topic: RE: Eating
Heather, I will be 5 months post op on sunday. I have lost about 86 lbs. You are not losing slow. everyone is different. But to answer you question about how much I can eat. I can eat 3/4 of a hot dog, now that is the meat part only. NO BREAD. As for the hamburger, I haven't even tried one since they are "Fried". I eat salad all the time. Yes you should be able to eat more salad than meat since it digests faster and easier. I can eat about 2 1/2 ounces of meat at a time (turkey, tuna, shrimp, fish, beef or pork chop). I have ordered a beef burrito from taco bell, I open it up and eat about 2/3 of the meat out of it. Throw away the tortilla. I wouldn't worry though about how much you can eat as long as you are getting in enough water, protein and no sugar. Your doing fine and things will work out. Best wishes.
