I am Hispanic and for gas we just boil a few pieces of starred anise .. "anise estrellado" it becomes a tea and calms gas very quickly ... If you have a spanish section in your grocery store look there if not check out a spanish grocery store and ask for starred anise .. best thing in the world
hope it helps
Topic: RE: Losing Hair
Same thing here. Doctor said it may continue for a few more months...few more months??? I'll be BALD!!!!!! I've lost 50 % already...even clogged my drains YIKES. Doctor said it will begin to grow back in a year...oh my.
I have been using Paul Mitchell...protein/repair hair solution. can't remember the name off hand, came in a black and white tube.
My aunt lost her hair and used rogaine. but they say if you start it you have to keep using it.. I'll wait it out and see. In the mean time, I part my hair on the side. Good luck to us all..LOL Tammy
Topic: RE: 6 months anniversary and very much a LOSER!
Laura- I was so glad to see your post. Sept. 17 will be my 6 months. As of thursday Sept. 11 I was down 71 lbs. Today I got on the scales and was up 3 1/2 lbs. I am losing slow like you and I really get so discouraged when I see how some people have lost 100 + at 6 mo. For about the last 2 1/2 weeks I will lose a lb then gain it back- I do not know what is going on. I exercise and I think I am eating right- sometimes I wonder if I ame eating enough. I can eat anything- even sweets- don't eat them much- I really don't like to eat meat or chicken-
Has anyone else hit this plateau- I am so scared that I am not going to lose any more weight!!! I have a friend that had the surger 1 month ago and she is already down 35 lbs- she has almost caught up with me.

It's my 6 mo anniversary too. You're doing fine. I went from a 28 to an 18 as well. I love it. You will probably start to slow down now. The next 30-40 pounds will be harder, atleast that's what the doctor says. take care. Tammy

Topic: 6 months anniversary and very much a LOSER!
Yesterday 9-11-03 was 6 months for me. I have lost 70 pounds and gone from a 26 to a 16 petite! The weight is slow coming off but I have few problems. I can eat almost anything except sweets. I still do not drink soda and have to be careful not to overeat. I have lots of saggy skin and am losing my hair, but I feel great and walk every day 2-3 miles. No more back aches (I have lost 10.5 inches off of my bust). I need to get a plan to lose inches off of my waist. It is large in porportion to the rest of my body. Hoping to lose another 40 pounds before my 1 year anniversary in March.
