Topic: RE: Food variety
Marilyn,
I only get to read the boards at work during slow times. I really don't have a problem with the food choices. My thing is my family goes out to eat every friday and they are getting tired of going places I can eat. I have to give in occasionally and let them have fast food and just order a glass of Iced Tea and watch them eat. Hope things get better for you.
Have a great week.

Is there anyone else getting bored with their food selections? I would really like more variety. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Can you believe we are at the 7 month mark already!!!!
Topic: RE: Hair loss
Sorry Gail to hear you are still losing hair. Mine has finally stopped but I think this is due to an increase in my vitamins. I had been lacking on remembering to take them. Now that I take them everyday!!! it seems to help. If that is not your problem, maybe you could add zinc to your intake or maybe some more protein. It took me about 3 weeks after adding the vitamins to see a difference. Good luck

I am six months out and my hair loss is still going strong. I am close to being bald on top of my head. Any one else having problems like this?

I am excited for you! Isn't that like the best feeling in the world? No one but fellow post-ops would understand. I haven't calculated my % of weight loss yet. I will have to figure that up and see how I have done. Keep up the awesome work!

Topic: RE: Experiencing Hair Loss
Rene,
There is not much that can be done to prevent the hair loss, but my Doctor said there are things you can do to prevent more from falling out for example by not dying your hair or using weird hair treatments. Your daily Protein and vitamins should help. I also heard Zinc is also good, but again everyones body is different. Good luck.

I experienced the same thing. My doctors office said to just be patient and it will stop. Other's on the Texas message board suggested adding a zinc tablet to your vitamin intake. I started losing mine about 3 months and it got very thin but I still have some (i had a lot to start out with) but in the last week or so it has quit falling out. Hopefully it will start growing back SOON!
Congrats on the 86lb loss. You must feel terrific.
