Marilyn, I eat absolutely no beef. For some reason it just doesn't go down right. I do however eat some pork, not much though. Basically if I eat pork I make it with some sort of broth so it washes down. Although I pretty much stick with protein, I do throw in the onions, mushrooms and Tomatoes with basically everything. Good luck.

Topic: 7 Month Anniversary
My goodness it seems I just posted about my 6 month anniversary the other day and today is already my 7 month anniversary! Okay here goes, I have lost a total of 120 Lbs since my surgery and I am wearing clothes from regular size stores so my options are now endless. My confidence level is through the roof now! I now weigh 165 Lbs and I am feeling even better. My hair has completely stopped falling out and the new hair that has grown in is just beautiful! My workouts are now part of my daily routine and I am noticing the muscle toning is working! Gotta love those instructors! How is everyone else doing? Hope to her from everyone!!

Hey Marilyn, I've found that I find something I like and basically wear it out. I've been hook or a couple of weeks on fish sauted in Onions, mushrooms and Tomatoes. I found these new dice tomatoes I think from Delmonte...but they are very finely diced(not crushed) so they are still kind of firm, the are canned with olive oil and garlic. Anyway I put it all in a saute pan and darn is it great. Usually make enough for 4 meals. There is enough broth so it makes eating the fish much better. So the other night I got adventurous and tried the same stuff on chicken. Darn was it good. Basically I've just been trying all kinds of stuff, things I would have never have thought about eating before surgery I love now. I eat so much Fish, Shrimp and Crab. Good Luck. Email me if you want some other recipes. Debbie in SOuthern Indiana

Hey Bonnie I total agree with you. I have lost almost 4 cinder blocks and have about 1 1/2 more to lose. It was funny when I went into my PCP at 3 months for blood work. He came in the room and started looking around. He asked me If I had lost something. He then laughed and said he was looking for the child I had lost (60 lbs). He asked what it felt like to lose that much weight. Have a great day and you will definately lose the rest of those cinder blocks.

I agree with you also. I check the Texas board and the March 2003 board every weekday. It is the first thing I do when I get to work. The Texas board is hopping but the March board very rarely has anything going on. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Bonnie.. Isn't this surgery wonderful.. I started out weighing 412 in March when i had the surgery.. Today i was 293.. Its incredible .. Back in March i couldnt hardly walk to the bathroom.. I had a cart i rode around on in the house.. Today i was outside riding my sons 4wheeler around the pasture.. Plus i walked back to the house from the barn which back in March, theres NO WAY I could of done that.. It would of killed me.. I'm so thankful I had this surgery.. The best thing I could of done for myself.. 412-293-150

Catherine, please remjember that Plateaus are normal, our bodies need to take a break from time to time, my plateau lasted almost 5 weeks before it broke. Don't worry you will start to lose again. You are doing great!!
