Marilyn, I know someone that is also 7 months Post-op like us and has the same problem. Please see your Gynecologist and tell him/her that this is happening. My friend has a fibroid tumor (benign) that caused her rapid cycles, but everyone is different. So please find out now why this is happening. Please let me know what happens. God bless...

Topic: HELP - Menstrual Question
Hi Everyone, I'm 7 months post-op (Slow Loser - Down Only 65lbs since WLS - 3/27/03 and overall 76lbs from highest). I use to be so irregular before my WLS but every since surgery I've had a cycle every month until this month. I've had my cycle 3 times during the last 5 weeks and now I'm a little worried. Truthfully, I did skip a few days with my birth control during the month but this should not have me this out of control. I'm justing getting use to having to take birth control because I've never had to take it during my almost 12 years of marriage. I could never get pregnant because of my weight and irregular periods because of the weight. But my primary care doctor thought it would best to put me on the pill because the more weight that I loose the more likelyhood that I could get pregnant. Well my question is, has anyone experienced anything like having three cycles in less than 5 weeks? if so, what did you do? Marilyn Lexington, KY

Keep your head up and remember you are loosing..... That is what matters the most not how fast.. also know that it didn't all come on at one time and it will take the same time for it to come off... Gosh I can't believe its gone by so fast, but I had my surgery March 31,03, so today is my 7th month anniversary.. I started out at 412 and now weigh 288 thats 124 pounds. It seems like im losing slow , mostly because i had a 2 month plateau that drove me nuts,, But thank GOD I'm back losing again.. I still have another 138 pounds to lose to get to my personal goal of 150, My doctors goal is 180. I hope to have it all off by my birthday in June.. Alot of work ahead of me,But i'll do it,, Well, Talk to ya'll again soon.. God Bless all..

Hi Everyone, I'm just so happy this morning because the month long plateau that I've been on is gone. Today I got on the scale and had lost 4lbs which now brings me down from 341lbs to 276lbs in 7 months, which turns out to be a total of 65lbs lost and an overall total of 76lbs from my highest weight of 353lbs. I know that this is considered slow but I've been in a deep depression lately, considering that this is 4lbs lost since my last weigh-in on last month. I've upped my exercise in the mornings and I've started drinking a wonderful protein drink better than the adkins called the GNC 100% Whey Protein. I mix the DaVinici sugar-free syrups and they taste so gooooood!!!!! Thank you all for your prayers. My desire now is to continue to stay focus and stay on my quest to become an healthier person. Many Blessings, Marilyn Lexington, KY
