Topic: Reached Another Milestone
WOW...Today I reached another milestone. I was able to fit into my husband's 2x leather jacket...This is amazing because I use to wear 5x's and have never in the 11 years we've been married been able to wear anything of his. I'm 8 months post-op and have only lost about 66lbs and have been on serious 2-month plateau but obviously I've lost several inches. I'm still a very slow loser but I'm so excited about reaching this accomplishment. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL. Marilyn from KY.....341/276/142

Topic: 8 MONTH THOUGHT
Well, I don't know about the rest of you but 8 months ago I would have never thought thanksgiving and christmas would get here, let alone be at least 100 lbs lighter. This thanksgiving I am thankful for all the new friends I have met on this website, my doctor, my family and friends who have put up with me through this, and most of all the willpower god has given me to get ME through this. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday tomorrow and remember it is only one day, should you slip up just a bit, get back on that horse and ride way far away from that food. It is going to be hard for me as my mother-in-law serves dinner as a "horse trough", come graze, find someplace to sleep it off, come graze somemore, go play for a while, graze some more, watch the football game, graze some more......you get the picture. I am going to have to find a corner, hide with the ad's from the paper and plot out my shopping trip for friday. Only 27 more shopping days til christmas.

Vicky, keep up the great work! You are doing so awesome, doesn't it feel great to wear smaller clothes? I can't believe that I'm fitting in the size that I am. I'll hold something up saying, this is not going to fit and low and behold it does. I bought my first pair of size 10 Calvin Klein jeans today and it was such a wonderful feeling. 280/153/140 Best Wishes~

Wow Wendy, 100 pounds that's great! It's not the amount of time that it took you to get there it's the fact that you have gotten it off that counts. 280/153/140 Best Wishes~

Vicky, congrats on the weight loss. Just because you don't get to the century mark is not a reason to fret. If you really don't need to lose 100 lbs you body isn't going to do it. You shouldn't compare youself with with those of us who started out close to 100 lbs more than you. Keep up the good work and have a great holiday. Jan P 3/24/03 326/205/1??

I can hardly believe it has been eight months. Seems like yesterday all of those nervous thoughts about surgery were spinning through my head. My progress has been steady, weighing 236.4 the day of surgery (3/24/03) and now weigh 144 as of this morning. I don't know if I will make the century mark and not sure if appearance and healthwise I need to. My ego might need to be massaged if I don't get there!! I wear a comfortable size 10 pants/skirt and a medium top. Everything has gone so smoothly some might view it as "the easy way out". But we all know that it isn't. I have lost quite a bit of hair but is starting to grow back. I hope everyone is doing well and will enjoy their families and friends on Thanksgiving. Pray for those that are away during this time. Vicky

Way to go Wendy. I am so bad about walking. I start out the week doing good and walking monday, tuesday and usually wednesday but by thursday and friday I have too much to do to get around to walking and everyone knows what saturday and sunday are like.

Topic: Hello fellow 3/03 losers!
Nov. 31st is my official eight month anniversary, but I wanted to share with you that I FINALLY made it to the Century Club. I got tired of seeing the scale not move at all (several weeks) and decided to start walking every night after dinner. I'm not a power walker by any means, but I get out there and move. I don't even go a mile, but it made a difference and the pounds have started dropping again. Happiness is not carrying around an extra 100 lbs.!
