Topic: 10 Month Post-Op Update
Hi Everyone, Well today I'm 10 months post-op and have ONLY lost 75lbs. I think that I'm the slowest loser ever to on had WLS but I'm not going to give up. I truly believe in my heart that the Lord will continue to guide and direct me to my destination. I'm still exercising daily (30-45 minutes), I'm drinking my liquids (over 64ozs daily), I'm getting in my protein (over 100gms) and I take my vitamins faithfully every day. Overall, I'm so much healthier than I was 10 months ago. I've gone from a size 30/32 dress to 22/24 and I feel really GREAT!!! I'm trying not to have my slow weight loss get me so depressed so I look to this website for so much encouragement and I just want to say THANK YOU all for giving me this support. 341/266/175

I have a hernia and my insurance sent me to the plastic surgeon to get it fixed along with my panni and breast reduction.. Please pray that my insurance approves everything.. I am pretty sure I will get the panni but not so sure about the breast.. I feel like I am going to go to the PS and the hernia will disappear.. I know its my own fear since 2 doctors have already felt it and I know I have one but you know how it is you have these weird feelings that is all going to go wrong and it will repair it self and then there goes my panni approval LOL... Well, I am done rambling I know I am just being crazy

Congrats on your 88 pound loss. I too felt like I am loosing slowly but I just realized that everyone looses at their own pace. If you follow the doctors orders it will come off.. Your doing great!!!

Laura, first of all congrats on the the 88 lbs loss. When before could you have lost 88 lbs in less than 10 months (or 8 months since you say you havent lost any in 2 months)?? I'm sure you know all the standard answers, up the protein, up the water, cut the carbs......but the way I broke my last plateau was to up the CALORIES!! I wasn't eating enough and my body had gone into shutdown mode. It was keeping everything I was putting in. Keep an eye on what you are eating and make sure you are making the best choices. Keep up the good work Jan P

Topic: Coming up to my 10 month anniversary
Hi everyone, I am coming up to my 10 month anniversary on the 28th. I have lost 88 pounds. I am only down to a 16/18 and I am getting frustrated. The scale has not moved in about a month or 2. I have been doing my measurements, but those have not changed either. I do 2 hours of Karate 4 times a week. I also like to run, but I have not have had the time lately, or I am too sore from Karate. Any suggestions? Thank you so much Laura

Topic: RE: Plateau's at 9 months
I think of myself as the queen of plateau. I've been on three or four that lasted more than a months. My advice, zero carb (or maybe 20 per day at most), change your exercise and know it won't last forever if you're doing the right thing. Good luck, it's hard, but it will be okay. Thanks for posting this. Sometimes, I just hear the "marketing", everyone wants to put out a low carb product to cash in. We do have to be careful. Marina (Los Angeles, CA) post-op 3/12/03
