Topic: Shopping :)
Well, I finally broke down and bought some new clothes. I've gone from:
Bra: size 44DD to 38D (probably should have gotten a C)
Panties: size 22 to size 7
Pants: size 24/26 to size 16
Shirts: size 24/26 to size medium or large
Shoes: size 9 1/2 - 10 to size 8 1/2
I'm shocked so much can change in 10 short months. I can hardly believe our 1 year anniversary is here. I'm 23 pounds from my goal weight. I have my paperwork in to insurance for my TT now. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that they approve it. I'm saving my money now for a brachioplasty (arms). If I can get my arms and belly done I'll be the happiest of campers.

Hi Diane,
My name is Kathy. I had my surgery also in March of last year. I have lost 90lbs. I too, am finding it difficult to go on. At this point in my life I want to eat anything and everything. I went to the doctor's office on Wednesday and voiced my problem. He gave me an appetite suppresent to help get me over this slump.. Believe me, This really helped. Before no matter what I did nothing worked. This appetite suppresent really is helping. I am so suprised. I will tell you this though. The only way I am going on is because I just tuned into this site and I am trying to get full use of it. Today is my very first day using it. Therefore, I really do not know how to go into the chat room or put up a profile like before and after status with weight yet. I also want to mention that I have turned my energy into trying to help others through their newly found journey with this weight loss. I truely feel that by helping others you help yourself. I am starting up a support group in my area to help us post op patients. We do have a support group at the local hospital once a month. Many of the members feel that the meeting is geared more toward the potential patients as appose to the post op ones. So I am going to start researching material to pass onto the group and try to keep us all motivated. Also I have a video "18 minute" walk away the pounds by Leslie Sansone that I get up and do whenever the urge for food comes into play.

Hey Diane, congrats on the loss. We share a surgery date and I have lost apprx. 133 and also, have appro. 25-40 more to go. But you are doing better in the clothing size than me. I wear mostly 14's and some 16's. But I have a lot....I mean a lot of loose skin on my stomach and a hernia, which hopefully will both be taken care of in the near future. Keep up the good work and feel free to e-mail me anytime.
Have a great day!!!!
Jan P
-133, pending hernia repair and skin removal approval.

Hi Diane, First I would like to say Congratulation on your 150lbs loss in 10 Months you have done a great job at loosing so far. I am also at 10 months and I have 20lbs to go before I get into the Century club.... You count your blessings because it could have been worst.... I also had the problem with wanting to eat junk, junk, junk,... Mine started after Holloween and the candy.. But instead of turning to the candy I now go crazy with protien bars.. They give you the since of eating something sweet but it is actually benefiting you in the long run. Also Protien shakes when you have the urge for chocolate, drink a Chocolate Fudge shake and it satisfys the craving.. I hope these little tips are a help to you.. These are steps I took to stay on the right track.. Keep up the good work and don't loose sight of your goal... and also ... feel free to e-mail me if you just want to chat.. I love to encourage others as well as receiving encouragment from other.. Until later ... Keep your head up.

Hey Marilyn, You are not alone in being a slow looser. I am a "heavy weight" and as of today I still have not lost 100 pounds. I started back exercising at the gym to see if things will get started again. I do not intend to weigh until 2/8/04. My eleven month anniversary is on the 7th and I will go get on my doctors scale for an official weigh-in. I said all that to say this; Keep your head up and your spirits high. The weight just can't stay around forever if you are doing the right things. You have great friends here to support you. SMILES!

Keep up the good work and yes the Lord will take you to where you need to be. You might want to check with your doctor on the 100 grams of protein though, I had heard/read somewhere that our bodies only absorb approximately 60-65 grams a day and the rest is just a waste of extra calories? Have a great day
