Hey March 2003 room! It's my turn to join the 1 year club! Today is Monday, March 22; last year it was Monday, March 24 (leap year). I've gone from 296 to 183, a loss of 113 lbs. From BMI 45.0 to 27.8. From MO to Overweight. From 5' 7-1/2" to 5' 8-1/2". (I guess my spine straightened out??) From size 24/26 to 10/12. From shoe size 9 1/2 to an 8. From bra size ??? to 36C. From ring size 9 to 7. From painful, unhappy, unhealthy to vibrant, happy, energetic. From diabetic to normal; from high bp (no matter what meds) to normal; from icky blood chemistry to 100% screamingly normal. I ride my bike at lunch time (the infamous Pink Barbie Bike). I am careful about my vitamins, water, protein (I still drink shakes at least once per day), and protein first at mealtimes. I'm not as strict about no carbs as I used to be, but I'm still very very careful. I've started in therapy (Solution Training) once again to make sure the old snack demons don't attack me again. And I still pop into AMOS to keep myself aware and grounded. I like to be an angel because it's rewarding and also it helps me to stay with the program. I'd do this all again in a New York second!!!

I'm right behind you. Tomorrow's my 1 year. It's been so good. I've lost 116 pounds and have another 25 or so to go. I only want to get down to 145-150. Congratulations on your success and many more good years for us all!! Linda

Today is my one year birthday. Medically I am doing much better. i am no longer sleeping with a cpap machine and my insulin resistance is not a problem. My joints are no longer plauged with pain at every step. Walking longer distances and using stairs no longer leaves me winded. I am still 20 pounds from my goal, but I am sure I will get closer I just need to get back to the gym. I am so glad I was able to have this surgery and I have never once regretted surgery.
