WOW!!! A year already. Can't believe it. A year ago right now I was wondering if I would make it through surgery. This year has passed so fast. So much has changed. I am at my body's goal of 134. Size 8 petite. I have held steady at this for 3 months. I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full. I still eat protein first, then veggies and carbs. I don't drink with my meals. OK, sometimes when I am dining out. I limit my sugar. No carbonated beverages. I get in my fluids daily. I take my vitamins. I am so thankful to God for providing me a second chance at life. OH has helped me so much I am trying to return the support that was given to me so freely. What a beautiful new life I have!!! Good Luck and God speed to those of you just starting the journey. Hi Pat -- congratulations, mine was the 20th and I too am down from 290 to 174 (116 pounds) and am ecstatic. We've all come so far and we've gottn a second chance at life. Good luck and keep in touch. Linda
