HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY MARCH 2003 WLS'ers!!
Happy One Year Anniversary March 2003 Board!
It definitely calls for a celebration!! We have reached our One year re-birthday!!
I'll be officially One Year on March 20th
I am so thankful to all of you for your support before and during this wonderful journey. I still cannot believe that I had this successful surgery and that my life is so much better, healthier and happier. My children love their more energized mommy, and my husband weighs more than me now! Shopping is much more fun now that we have more choices other than the same old styles not to mention cost. Eating is still a little bit of an issue for me but I could live with that. My next venture is my tummy tuck and thigh lift in April. I really did not want more surgery but it is medically necessary. It's all part of this whole process. Other than that I am feeling wonderful and I am very happy.
How has your life changed since your surgery? What are you most thankful for?
Again, Happy One Year Anniversary!!
Hugs to all

Happy anniversary to you too......Life is wonderful for me also.
I too have tummy tuck and hernia repair scheduled in April.
I am most thankful for an insurance company who understood the necessity of this surgery and kept their promise to pay for it.
Keep up the good work and have a wonderful year

Hi Y'all - my anniversary is 3/20 too. Looking forward to it. Not sure what I'll do to celebrate. This has been a wonderful year, and it's hard to believe that it's been that long and that so much can change. My weight loss has tapered off, but I'm still down almost 115#. I have the loose skin, too, but it's not bothering me a whole lot now (especially if I only look with my clothes on)! I don't know if I'll look into plastic surgery yet. Maybe I'll give my body time to adjust. But it's wonderful fitting in chairs, being able to sit on the floor and actually get back up unassisted, not being so exhausted that I need a nap at lunchtime, my husband's thrilled about being able to put his arms all the way around me. I'm sure you all know what I mean. I haven't had a major shopping spree yet, because I still want to lose a few more pounds. Being 56 years old, and having lost 100 pounds 5 years ago, I still have clothes that I had stored away. So I had clothes from 26 down to 16. My 16's are getting big now. So I guess I'll have to do something soon (Lord knows I ain't running around naked with this body). I still don't exercise as much I want to, but my eating patterns are muchly improved (except for yesterday when I went to the home and garden and food show). But today's another day. Anyway, congrats to all of you and health and happiness to us all in this new year.
