Finally in the Century Club
I am posting a little early but just had to share my good news, I am finally 100 lb. loser!!! It took a little longer than I originally thought it would but realize that we are all different in how we lose. Just 46 lbs to go to reach my goal! The inches are just melting off. My MD assured me that sometimes the loss does not just show on the scale and that the inches are just as important. We are going on a cruise the first week of January and I cannot wait. There is a bathing suit shop at the factory outlets near us that I will be visiting right after Christmas to get a stylish bathing suit no more frumpy suits for me!!!! Have a great Thanksgiving everyone in case I don't get to post before it. Also does anyone have a great sugarfree dessert that I could make for Thanksgiving?
Congrats NANCY!!!! I too thought it took a little longer than I hoped to get into the century club but as long as it comes off I guess I can't complain. I still do not dare try on a swimsuit as all of the weight I have left to lose is right around my middle section. As for the sugar free desert, I have made several things just replacing the sugar with spenda. One my husband really likes is the oatmeal nobake cookies.
Combine 1 stick margarine, 2 cups sugar (spenda or other substitue), 2 tablespoons cocoa, and 1/2 cup PET milk in sauce pan and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup peanut butter (I use the simply jif, less sugar & fat), stir til peanut butter melts. Stir in 2 cups of quick oats (I use 3 minute brand). Drop by teaspoon fulls onto waxed paper and let cool.
Great chocolate flavored treat. Little or no mess and portable for family gatherings.
Congrats on making it to the Century Club Nancy! That is so awesome! I am still hoping to get there soon! I still have about 14lbs to go though! I am sure you will have an awesome time on your cruise and will look fabulous in your new bathing suit! We are going on a cruise the last week in January - hopefully I will be in that century club by then! Here is a great dessert I made recently that was a huge hit! Good luck!Moose Track Pie
1 box cook and serve sugar free chocolate pudding/pie mix
½ tub of cool whip extra creamy (low fat)
¼ cup peanut butter
One graham cracker piecrust
Pecan chips or peanuts (optional)
Follow the directions to make the pudding in the microwave. (This way it doesn't burn!) I like to add a scoop of chocolate protein powder for a kick. Let the pudding cool slightly. Add the peanut butter and blend. This doesn't have to be perfect. Let the mixture cool. Fold in ¼ of the tub of cool whip. Pour into pie shell. Cover with remaining cool whip. Sprinkle with pecans or peanuts. Chill and serve.
