Update On Me
Since my last update on the 8th, I'm weighing at 275lbs which is only 1lb gone. But I'm sure that I've lost many inches because I'm fitting in size 24's really good and some 22's depending on the material. Well I guess I should not complain too much because this is a total of 78lbs lost and 66lbs gone since surgery on 3/27/03. I use to wear 30/32 size dresses and even had some 34's. So I am truly thankful to the Lord that I'm not wear I use to be 8 months ago.
Well I'm now on the protein train. I'm going back home to Chicago for the Thanksgiving Holiday and is trying to drop 10lbs. So I've been drinking about 3 protein drinks (90gms +) a day along with plenty of water. I'm setting mini-goals so that I don't get to disappointed if I don't make my goal, but I've been trying to stay positive.
I do some days have some mixed emotions about this whole process but overall I'm so happy that I went through it and that I'm not having any physical problems. I just have to be careful when I do eat because I can eat more than I should be able too and I don't dump from any types of food or sugar.
I'm still exercising in the mornings for about 20/30 minutes. I either walk away the pounds in 2 miles within 30 minutes or I do my 20 minute Richard Simmons aerobic tapes. I also do every other day a 15 minute weighlifting tape and this really helps me with my upper arms. I do have the flabby bat wings - LOL
Overall, I know that I'm BLESSED!!!!. Also, I would like to thank you all for your wonderful support by way of encouraging emails. God Bless Each of youl!!!!

I would like to commend you on your wonderful attitude. I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 1/2 weeks either but I know the inches are coming off as I went to a "Mash" party last weekend. I was able to get into a pair of mens large millitary issue camo pants. Yes the ones with the button up fly. A large is only a 34-38 waist. Thats down from not being able to even attemp my husbands 50 waist overalls. Have a great time in chicago for the holiday and remember, enjoy the company and the food but be good to youself.
Marilyn, You have truly been an inspiration for me! I see you strength and determination to loose the weight and be successful during your journey. Your post do motivate, encourage and it show's me that we are all going through this together. Please keep posting and keep up the good work. Congratulation on such a great loss. Best Wishes~
Well definately let us know how this works out for you! Have a safe and wonderful trip to Chicago!
I am stuck too! I only have 19 little lbs to go for that Ideal body weight mark! I went for my 6 month check and it is like everything stopped - I've only managed 4 lbs since Sept - giving me a total of 91 lbs gone!
Hopefully by Christmas I can say those 19 lbs are gone and gone for good!
Take care!
