If you have not tried the JOYRIDE bars, you are missing out. They are made by the same company that does Detour and u-turn. They have the flavor of an almond joy bar but do have a different consistancy. The large bar (which I can only eat 1/3 of at a time) has 30 grams of protein and 340 calories. They do have 16 grams of sugar in the entire bar but that is only 5.33 grams per 1/3 bar, which is below my doctors recommendation of 6 grams per serving. I found mine at 7-11 but am going to ask my Target to see if they can get it since they carry the small version of the Detour and U-Turn.

I might give that one a try. I don't remember which is which, but I didn't care for the one that was just nougat or something. It left a bad aftertaste to me. The one with nuts is good, tho. But I really like almond joys, so I'll probably like that. Anybody *****ally likes the Detour and U-Turn, I saw that Sam's carries both of them.

Hi Jan, I use these protein bars and the Detour every single day. Walgreens and Krogers carry the small bars. But absolutely the best price is at Walmart. $1.23. Good luck to you. Ann in TX 414/298/140
