Is there anyone else getting bored with their food selections? I would really like more variety. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Can you believe we are at the 7 month mark already!!!!

Marilyn, I only get to read the boards at work during slow times. I really don't have a problem with the food choices. My thing is my family goes out to eat every friday and they are getting tired of going places I can eat. I have to give in occasionally and let them have fast food and just order a glass of Iced Tea and watch them eat. Hope things get better for you. Have a great week.

Hey Marilyn, I've found that I find something I like and basically wear it out. I've been hook or a couple of weeks on fish sauted in Onions, mushrooms and Tomatoes. I found these new dice tomatoes I think from Delmonte...but they are very finely diced(not crushed) so they are still kind of firm, the are canned with olive oil and garlic. Anyway I put it all in a saute pan and darn is it great. Usually make enough for 4 meals. There is enough broth so it makes eating the fish much better. So the other night I got adventurous and tried the same stuff on chicken. Darn was it good. Basically I've just been trying all kinds of stuff, things I would have never have thought about eating before surgery I love now. I eat so much Fish, Shrimp and Crab. Good Luck. Email me if you want some other recipes. Debbie in SOuthern Indiana

Marilyn, I eat absolutely no beef. For some reason it just doesn't go down right. I do however eat some pork, not much though. Basically if I eat pork I make it with some sort of broth so it washes down. Although I pretty much stick with protein, I do throw in the onions, mushrooms and Tomatoes with basically everything. Good luck.

Hi Marilyn--I'm one of the very lucky ones (or maybe not so lucky in the long run!!) who hasn't had in problem in anything I have tried. I eat beef and pork regularly, along with chicken and seafood. My husband and I go out to eat at least once a week. I'm a cheap date now. But I think my favorite thing is baked fish with seasoning and lemon juice. Then after I fini**** I add some salsa to the top. I'm also a big believer in omelet with cheese and a slice of bacon. I tend to put salsa on it too. Of course, I still cant eat more than about 1/2 cup to a cup at one time. I found a great low-fat cookbook that has loads of low-fat, hi protein dishes. I look on the different websites, too. So don't despair. As for fastfood meals, I find that Wendy's chili is good, and most of the bean/cheese things from Taco Bell are fairly good. I tried their chicken bowl once too and it was pretty good and lasted for about 3 or 4 meals!! But then, I can eat a small hamburger or grilled chicken or grilled cheese sandwiches. I even manage to be able to find things at Popeye's fried chicken. I find that a bite of anything hasn't hurt me. That's the way I find out if I can tolerate it. So good luck. Linda
