I had my surgery 1 week before you and I have also only lost about 45 lbs. I don't think slow is a bad thing. I have however gone down 2 pant sizes and everyone says these are already baggy!!!! Keep up the good work.

I had my surgery on 3/31/03 also, and as of today I am down 48 pounds so I think you are doing great...I know I need to add more protien and exercise to my days to help speed things up but im fighting with scar tissue closing the opening and making food painful so there going to open it up with a balloon and then hopefully I will be able to get back on tract. congrats on all your weightloss, and I hope things continue to go as well.

I had my surgery 3/17/03 and I am down 40 pounds. I started at as a light weight so thats what everyone is saying I am loosing so slow.. I eat all my protien, drink my fluids, and I do water aerobics 6-8 times a week and I also just started to do fit swim. Last night I did two solid hours of water aerobics and a half hour of fit swim. My husband thinks Im loosing inches more then weight because I am gaining muscle .. I guess he might be right because I am down from a 24/26 to an 18.

Hi, I had my surgery on 3/31/03. As of today, 6/2/2003, I have lost 64 pounds. I am now at 301, cannot wait to get below 300. It has been years since I was under 300. My next goal is to see 199. Boy, what a party I will have when that happens! Good luck and God blessings to all other March 2003 surgery post-op patients. Dana in Phoenix, AZ

Hi Wendy, We share the same rebirthday date, I too had my surgery on March 31st. and I have lost 46lbs so far. I think I am a slow losser too, but the doc tells me I am doing just fine and right on track. I started at 297lbs and now I weight 250lbs (a first since 13 years) I wish I would lose weight faster, but I will take what I get and just be happy and be glad I have had no complications and no dumping!!!
