Hi everyone! Just wanted to say hi to my fellow march 2002 post ops. How is everyone doing? Is everyone close or at their goal? I still have about 30-40 more to go before I have any plastic surgery. What a difference my life is now. Hope to see you on the boards!

I had mine 3/4/2002 ... I've lost 140 pounds and weigh 118 lbs. I had a tummy tuck last New Year's Eve when I had my hernia repair. I wish I could afford plastic surgery ... my butt and thighs look like a Shar Pei's face! What weight did you start at? Hi Brenda, Gloria, and Marilyn; I am also a March 2002 recovering obese person. You three have done great. I had the open RNY distal on March 19th, 2002 and a pannicalectomy, abdominal wall reconstrudtion and hernia repair on Mardh 20th, 2003. I have lost a total of 260 pounds now and no longer suffer with diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, sleep apnea, or acid reflux desease. I am in better health now then I have been in 25 years. Hoping to get down to about 180 but my origanal goal was 199 and I have 5 pounds to go. I will keep checking back to check on your progress.

Hello Brenda, I had my surgery on March 12, 2002 and I have lost a total of 140 pounds. I am at my surgeons goal, of 178. I weight in a 311 pounds and now weigh 171 my personal goal weight is 165 so that makes 6 more pounds to lose. The weight is coming off real slow now but I will up my protein and water and walk and I think I would be successful. I would truly love to have plastic surgery, but don't think much about right now. Hope to see you on the boards.

Hi Brenda, I had my surgery March 5, 2003 and have dropped 120 pounds. Life is amazing now. I'm in a comfortable size 11/12... I just recently went to a plastic surgeon on this past Thursday and am waiting for word from the insurance company (who already told me it was no problem over the phone). Dr. Young will be doing an Abdominoplasty and Mastopexy (breast life). I'm looking at having it done in August while on break from college. The surgeon comments that I would be losing 10-14 pounds of skin! This surgery has changed my life so much that I'm finally chasing my dream career and am enrolled in school to become an RN ...
