I got a date for 2-27-2013, and I am getting the traditional Roux Ne Y. I'm feeling good about it too.

Before I was living in the Bay Area, and I located to Sacramento for job purposes. R-N-Y surgery date: Solid! South Sacramento Kaiser; Feb-27-2013 and a new beginning.
I kept the "eye on the prize" and never gave up!
Hard wired for not giving up.

I'm back. After using Accomplia to lose 150 pounds in 2007, I've regained 125 of that since it was banned in Europe (my source).
Took all of 2012 to jump through the insurance hoops. Was approved in late December, but had some other medical things to deal with before surgery and then they informed me the approval was only good until 2/1. Came back from a trip to Europe the day before with a raging head cold and required an extension (turned out to not be a problem) and reschedule for Tuesday morning.
While I'm excited to have the procedure - this is what I would have done in 2007 if it was available covered under insurance then - I am still nervous about having any surgery done and especially something that removes large part of an organ...
Looking forward to spending more time on the boards post-op. I recall what inspiration and support I got from everyone in 2007.
